Not new to the Streamlight lineup, the TLR-6 continues to receive upgrades, with the latest being the TLR-6 HL. This new model bumps the output of the diminutive pistol light from 100 lumens to 300 lumens. Likewise, further expanding the options, the company adds a green or red laser to the lineup as well as a rechargeable battery.

The Streamlight TLR-6 HL and TLR-6 HL G

Constructed of durable, impact-resistant engineered polymer, the TLR-6 HL comes in black or FDE (Glock models only). Likewise, the light features a glass lens with a shock-resistant gasket seal. As a result, the TLR-6 HL is impact-resistant when tested to one meter.

Measuring 2.50 inches long, the pistol light weighs a lightweight 1.12 ounce with the included battery. The unique design attaches securely to the rail and/or trigger guard of the Glock 42/43, Glock rail mount models, the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield, and Sig Sauer P365 handguns. Correspondingly, installation is simple and only requires a small screwdriver.

Housed within the unit is a white LED, delivering 4,250 candela and 300 lumens with a beam distance of over 130 meters. Featuring a parabolic reflector, the light produces a balance of focused beam and peripheral illumination. Additionally, the models offer ambidextrous switches with two lighting modes—a quick press for constant on and hold for a momentary setting.

Likewise, in addition to the red laser option, the TLR-6 HL G features a green laser. The “eye safe” green laser improves users’ ability to focus on the target during daylight conditions.

Both models offer deployment in laser-only, LED-only, or dual laser/LED modes. While in LED only and LED/laser modes, the TLR-6 HL delivers 20 minutes of operation. However, in laser-only mode, the red laser provides 9 hours of runtime while the green laser delivers 5 hours.

The new TLR-6 HL is among the first in Streamlight’s weapon-mounted lights to operate on a rechargeable battery. This latest model is powered by the company’s new proprietary SL-B2 rechargeable battery. Correspondingly, the included charging case charges two batteries at a time.

The TLR-6 HL ships with one battery in the light and two extra batteries in the charge case.
