We heard rumors about this a couple of months ago, but now it looks like it’s official: SureFire has rolled out its new XC1-B weaponlight.

Built primarily for compact concealed carry handguns, the XC1-B has an output of 300 lumens of LED light shaped by a reflector into SureFire’s wide MaxVision beam, which the presser touts as being ideal for close-range threat identification and situational awareness. The XC1-B is also capable of one-handed constant-on activation.
Both momentary and constant-on activation are possible via ambidextrous switching. Momentary activation of the XC1-B is accomplished by placing your support hand thumb on top of either of the two rear downward-activated switches and pushing down, SureFire says. Constant-on activation is achieved by quickly tapping either of the momentary switches. To turn it off, you touch and release either toggle switch. You can also access Constant-on by using your support hand to push the center crossbar switch from left to right.
In addition, the XC1-B sports a robust yet compact body made of lightweight aerospace aluminum and hard anodized with a Mil-Spec finish, meaning it’ll withstand the rigors of everyday carry. It measures just 2.375 inches in length and weighs in at 1.6 ounces, meaning this package won’t weigh down your gun. The light is powered by a rechargeable AAA NiMH battery which is included.
The suggested retail price of the SureFire XC1-B is $299.
