Lock In Your GLOCK With the Gill Arm Lock

Learning firearms basics can require patience and practice, and for many new shooters this can be frustrating and intimidating. However, just as bicycles have training wheels, so too are there devices to help the new or old shooter improve their skills or unlearn bad habits.

Lock Steady

The Gill Arm Lock from Gill Firearms promises to help shooters deal with the problem of wrist lock and position to help tame recoil, improve shooter accuracy and comfort, and address the issue of cycling problems when “limp wristing.” The arm lock installs very easily and attaches to the rear of a Glock pistol via a pin at the base of the grip. A padded extension arches around the top of the forearm and forces the shooter’s arm to remain straight with their wrist locked forward while aiming and firing.

Tame Recoil

The effect when firing with the Gill Arm Lock installed is that the recoil is significantly mitigated and absorbed, and muzzle flip is almost eliminated. This allows for more accurate and faster shooting while keeping your sights on target. The Gill Arm Lock is very lightweight and made from flat black Zytel with a Sorbothane shock-absorbing pad. It is adjustable for cant and windage.

This device can in no way be used as a shoulder stock during operation, so installing it meets ATF requirements. The Gill Arm Lock is currently available for Glock pistols (G17, G19, G20, G22, G23, G25, G31, G32, G34, G35, G21 Gen3), and I tried the unit out on both Gen3 and Gen 4 models without experiencing a single problem. CH also learned that Gill Arm Locks for hard hitting .45 1911 pistols are coming soon.
