Brace Built, a new precision bolt-action, AR-10 and AR-15 manufacturer based out of the Dallas area, recently announced three new rifle platforms. Moreover, the company is lead by Matt Brace, an industry executive, and Stephen Barrier, a master gunsmith and machinist formerly with Surgeon Rifles, according to Brace Built.

Brace Built offers three different platforms based on AR and Remington 700 designs. Further, the models are: the MC6 AR-15 in 5.56mm, the MC7 AR-10 in .6.5 Creedmoor and .308 Win, and the Barrier Tactical rifle in 6mm Creedmoor, 6.5 Creedmoor and .308 Win.

The MC6 AR-16 and MC7 AR-10 comes in black, tungsten, OD green, or burnt bronze Cerakote finish. Also, that Cerakote finish protects the upper and lower receiver, as well as the slimline M-LOK forend. Additionally, Brace Built’s signature orange highlights the trigger and ambidextrous controls.
Barrier Tactical Rifle
Firstly, the Barrier Tactical is a chassis system built from billet. The left-folding chassis fits 6mm, 6.5mm Creedmoor and .308 platforms, compatible with the Barrier action as well as Remington 700. Like the AR offerings, Barrier Tactical rifles feature the same Cerakote finish options.
The Barrier action features a 3-lug bolt and 60-degree bolt throw to “solve three common precision bolt-action rifle pain points – the primary extraction issue found in many bolt-action rifles, the lack of durability of chassis systems, and the nightmare of assembly/disassembly,” according to Brace Built.
Barrier’s design also features Bartlein cut-rifled barrels in lengths ranging 18 to 24 inches. Also, the rifles deliver sub-1/2 MOA out of the box, according to Brace Built. Further, Barrier designed the “best tactical chassis system he could out of billet that was simple, durable, and affordable.”
Above all, Brace Built claims it builds lightweight, accurate, reliable rifles that are proven by hunters and shooters in the field. At first glance, they’ve got the look down for sure. Hopefully, we’ll score some range time with these new products really soon. Stay tuned.
