Willie Robertson Drive-By Details

As hunters and shooters, we’re all familiar with Robertson and his family. Robertson is the CEO of Duck Commander, one of the most popular duck call businesses on the planet. Willie’s brother Jase Robertson also graced the pages of our Ballistic fall 2018 issue. We’re all very happy to hear there were no injuries during the drive-by.

The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon in West Monroe, La., police said. Gunfire struck two different residences, include that of Robertson. Witnesses told police they observed several gunshots fired from a vehicle. KNOE 8 reported:

According to a court affidavit, the passenger of a truck fired a .380 caliber gun numerous times, hitting one of the homes through an outer window. Three people occupied the home that was hit. Five people occupied the other. Spent shell casings were found on the scene.

“We were pretty shook up,” Robertson told USA Today. “It looks like they were just spraying bullets across my property.”

Witnesses described the suspect’s vehicle to police as a white over brown or beige Ford F-250 with large aftermarket tires and rims. It didn’t take long for police to arrest a suspect. Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of Daniel King Jr. on Saturday, one day after the incident. Police charged King with 1 count of Aggravated Assault by Drive By Shooting.
