The Emerson Knives June Bug Allows Carry in Even Strict Jurisdictions

Emerson Knives is known for defensive EDC blades, with many of its models even donning combative names. Although none of Emerson’s knives are typically considered “cute,” this one even has owner Ernest Emerson referring to it as such. If you live in a restrictive jurisdiction but are defensive-minded, the Emerson Knives June Bug is worth a look.

Made of 154 CM stainless steel, the 2.3-inch blade features a Wharncliffe profile with a swedge running half its length. As a result, is a knife that not only excels at defensive use but also daily utility cutting chores. In addition, the short blade is legal, even in some of the most restrictive jurisdictions. The blade is brought full lockup via a thumb button and remains secured with a liner lock.

Emerson Knives is known for utilizing the chisel grind on their knives. However, like a few others in the Emerson family, the June Bug has a primary bevel on both sides, but a chisel grind on the secondary bevel. As a result, it will be easier to sharpen because there is only one bevel to worry about.

The 3.2-inch handle is constructed of textured G-10, which is typical for Emerson Knives. Because of the texturing, the June Bug maintains excellent grip and retention, even when wet.

Thus, allowing for quick retrieval of the June Bug. Similarly, the light 2.5-ounces maintains a very small footprint in the pocket.

The June Bug will be available in limited quantities, so make sure to join the waiting list to be notified when it will be available and don’t miss out.
