Springfield Armory just announced two new variations on the popular SA-35 Hi-Power-inspired 9mm pistols. The new Springfield SA-35 variants come in Cerakote Coyote Brown or Tactical Gray finishes, complete with rugged and dependable G10 grips in complimentary colors.

Springfield SA-35 Variants Update the Classic-Inspired Line

“The SA-35 provides shooters with a high-quality, U.S.-made version of one of the most popular and proven handguns ever designed,” said Steve Kramer, Vice President of Marketing for Springfield Armory. “With these new color options featuring tough Cerakote finishes and G10 grips, fans have two new eye-catching options with this highly capable pistol.”

The U.S.-made line of SA-35 pistols takes advantage of modern materials and manufacturing techniques. Meanwhile, they still retain the appeal of the original P-35 design. The pistols feature forged carbon steel frames and slides. A hammer-forged barrel promotes strength and durability.

The pistols also feature numerous performance and ergonomic enhancements. Improvements include significant change to the barrel feed ramp. They ensure the pistol works with today’s modern defensive ammo. Further upgrades include a factory-tuned trigger and flush-fit magazine. A beveled magazine well, re-contoured “no-bit” hammer design, extended thumb safety and Tactical Rack sights add to the appeal.

Springfield also chose to configure the SA-35 without a magazine disconnect. It puts the platform in line with the rest of Springfield’s offerings, providing the ability for mags to drop freely.

The new color variants employ a tough, durable Cerakote finish. The advanced formula virtually eliminates the need for additional corrosion protection for outer surfaces. The pistol pairs the look with attractive G10 grip panels. Both pistols retail for $859.
