Those looking to obtain a Missouri concealed carry license through the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office now have the opportunity to take concealed carry classes with the Quail and Upland Wildlife Federation.
According to the Buffalo Reflex, the classes will cover subjects required by Missouri state law and chosen by the law enforcement instructor, such as the four most dangerous places for you and your family in Missouri or across the country, and what to do to protect your family under such conditions.
Craig Alderman, the course instructor, is a pistol and shotgun instructor for the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office. He’s also a former NRA rifle, pistol and shotgun instructor, as well as a “veteran qualified as an expert with the U.S. Air Force in pistol and rifle,” the Buffalo Reflex reports.
“Due to changes in the Missouri CCW laws, students can select either a revolver or semi-automatic pistol, both supplied for the course,” said Alderman. “Further, the legal age to carry a CCW firearm is now 19 years of age. We feature small classes in a comfortable setting to ensure the one-on-one training is well understood and the basics are employed on the QUWF range.”
Students are asked to bring a lunch, as well as personal hearing and eye protection. Advanced registration is required. Veterans and those in law enforcement or the judicial system will get a discount. For reservations or more information, contact (417) 345-5960 or email calderman@quwf.net.
