Following the popularity of its full-size PX-9 Duty line, Tisas USA releases its concealed carry-friendly PX-9 Gen 3 Carry. The new series takes the best features of the Duty line and incorporates them into a compact size. Available in three different models, the Carry line comes in Iron Sight Only (IO), Optic Ready (OR), and Thumb Safety (TS) options.

The Tisas PX-9 Gen 3 Carry Series Offers Three Configurations

Building on a polymer frame, the PX-9 Carry series features a small, concealed carry-friendly 6.6-inch overall length. However, the grip is enhanced with a subtle rubber over mold on the interchangeable grip panels and back straps. As a result, the diminutive carry pistol provides superb ergonomics and retention during courses of fire.

Riding atop the frame is the forged carbon steel slide with forward and rear cocking serrations. The aiming solution is provided via a set of Glock pattern sights with an adjustable serrated rear sight. Correspondingly, the Iron Sight Only (IO) model features a serrated dot front sight, while the OR and TS models utilize a fiber optic front sight.

In addition, the Optic Ready (OR) and Thumb Safety (TS) models include an optic cut on the slide. The cut is designed for the direct mounting of RMR footprint optics and allows a 1/3 co-witness. However, as the name suggests, the Iron Sight Only (IO) model does not include an optic cut.

Chambered in 9mm, the 3.5-inch forged and machined barrel features button rifling. The single-action striker-fired pistol is fired via a flat tactical trigger with a 3.63-pound pull (+/- 0.22 pounds). Likewise, the trigger also includes an integrated blade safety. However, the TS model also adds a manual, ambidextrous thumb safety, for those who prefer an additional safety mechanism.

Just forward of the trigger guard is a three-slot Picatinny rail for attaching a light or laser. Offering enhanced capacity, the PX-9 Gen 3 Carry ships with one 15-round and one 17-round P228 style magazine.
