Giuseppe Pietta

The industry is diminished today as Pietta Firearms has announced the passing of its founder, Giuseppe Pietta. Pietta was the Son of a Tempini factory worker, and the seventh of nine siblings. He always thanked his father for what he could give him. “My father could not afford to let me study, but he gave me much more. He passed on solid values of honesty, strong will, and respect for others, which were the models for his life and our family. I grew up carrying with me a sense of commitment and ambition.”

At 14, Pietta was employed in a small gun factory in Collebeato and soon learned the entire cycle of gun making. This was the beginning of a career that allowed him to gather experience and achievements, even in his personal life. With that background and drive, he decided to form a company. On March 22nd, 1963, the company Pietta Giuseppe was born. As they say, the rest is history.

Pietta would go on to become one of the most respected and elite firearms companies in the world. Giuseppe Pietta’s legacy will live on as his sons continue to steer the successful company. With a heavy heart, we are saddened to share the news of the passing of our father and founder of F.A.P. FABBRICA ARMI F.LLI PIETTA, Giuseppe Pietta. Mr. Pietta started F.LLI Pietta over six decades ago, shining the light and celebrating firearm and American history in each gun he made. Giuseppe was actively involved in the company to the very end, solidifying his rightful place as a true Brescia firearms legend. We are forever grateful for his contributions to F.LLI Pietta and the firearms industry worldwide, yet more importantly, his time spent as a father, grandfather, husband, and friend to all. He will be greatly missed. His legacy will never be forgotten and will carry on through every Pietta firearm forever.
