The firearms industry is unique in many ways, from the obvious products that are manufactured to the end users who enjoy those products. Another area where we are unique is media events. Generally, companies gather writers and content producers from around the industry to a location where they spotlight their products. While this formula works well, there is an even more unique way it is done. The Athlon Outdoors Rendezvous is the premier media event in the United States. Instead of just one company showing off its products to writers, Athlon Outdoors brings in a large number of manufacturers under one roof and gives them access to the industry’s best writers. It’s a Wrap! A Look Back at The 2025 Athlon Outdoors Rendezvous
The Rendezvous is a very special event where elite companies join us by invitation only. The event is held at beautiful locations around the country, and this year was no different. Located in Southeast Wyoming, Brush Creek Ranch would be our host for the 2025 event. The facilities are world-class, and it is located in some of the most beautiful country in the world. From fine dining and cabin accommodations to an excellent range, Brush Creek Ranch is an incredible place to hold the event.
The business side of the event lasted two days, and 15 premier manufacturers demonstrated and highlighted their products. We were honored to have a large number of embargoed products on the range. This allows us to provide real-world feedback and content on these items when they are released.
Unique Opportunity
Another unique aspect of the Rendezvous is its one-on-one time with writers and staff. Over the two days, we got to visit with the companies in a relaxed and enjoyable setting. In this format, we were able to gain insight and backstories that simply can not be acquired by just getting a demo product in the mail. This is one of the secrets to the exceptional content that comes from Rendezvous.
As the Range side of the Rendezvous wrapped up, we all were treated to a special event. Everyone got the opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes tour of Brush Creek Ranch. We explored their massive indoor hydroponic gardens as well as their dairy and cheese-making operations. We then got a great tour of their distillery. Brush Creek Ranch makes exceptional bourbon and other spirits. A quick walk through their massive wine cellar and whiskey collection left most of us green with envy. The event was wrapped up with one of the finest dinners I have ever experienced.
