Colt Cobra: The Return of the Colt Double-Action Revolver

A ton of new guns are getting released in 2017, and one of the offerings we’re most excited about is the Colt Cobra revolver. Yes, you read that right: the Connecticut-based gun maker is getting back into the world of double-action revolvers after a decades-long absence.

Details on the Colt Cobra Revolver

Chambered in .38 Special and +P capable, the six-shot Colt Cobra features a matte stainless steel frame, a two-inch, six-groove barrel with a 1:14 left hand twist, a Hogue overmolded grip that has been moved rearward to help manage recoil, and a Linear Leaf mainspring design to guarantee a smooth trigger pull.

The grip and trigger ergonomics combine to help create a “naturally pointing revolver that is compatible with a maximum range of hand sizes and still allows the use of gloves,” Colt says.

The brand new double-action Colt Cobra also comes with a red fiber optic front sight, measures 7.2” long, 4.9” high and 1.4” wide, and weighs 25 oz. unloaded. Simply put, it’s great for concealed carry and is perfect for new and experienced shooters alike.

The suggested retail price is $699. There’s no word yet on the official release date for this beauty, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled.
