MasterPiece Arms has announced yet another bolt-action offering: the MPA 22BA rifle.
The rifle is built upon the MPA CZ455 BA Chassis, which is CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum and lets you adjust the length of pull, cheek riser and monopod, as well as the height and cant of the recoil pad. The chassis features a built-in bubble level; thumb notch; spigot mount with lower-mounted Picatinny rail; MPA Enhanced Vertical Grip; and MPA Trigger Shoe. The rifle includes a DIP 25 MOA Picatinny scope base, and you can add side Picatinny rails or a night vision bridge, as well as increase the distance from the spigot-mounted bipod to the rear support. It’s also compatible with a barricade stop system.
Chambered in .22 LR, the MPA 22BA can switch to 22 WMR and 17 HMR with a quick and easy barrel change. The barrel is a precision drilled, reamed and honed Spencer/MPA offering made from 416RQ stainless steel. The hand-lapped barrel is bore and land inspected on a video borescope. The chamber is indicated within 0.0001 inch or less to the bore of the rifle, the company says. The barrel measures between 16-24 inches, depending on user preference.
The MPA 22BA bolt action comes in eight different colors, including black, burnt bronze, flat dark earth, gun metal, marine red, NRA blue, sniper green and tungsten. All chassis are Cerakoted in a multitude of colors. Solid colors are included. Custom Cerakote colors cost $135 more for the chassis body and $65 for the barreled action.
The suggested retail price for the MPA 22BA is $1,599.
