7 Companies Partner to Deliver Semi-Auto Sniper Rifles, Ammo to Ukraine

The Ukraine Ministry of Defence recently requested help from Adams Arms, looking rifle systems to engage targets at range. And boy did Adams Arms deliver. The Florida-based company partnered with a host of other manufacturers to donate 10 semi-auto sniper rifles and ammunition to Ukraine.

7 Companies Build Ukraine Sniper Rifles

Leupold, Proof Research, Rise Armament, Radian Weapons, Luth-AR, and Hornady all joined the effort to support Ukraine forces. The sniper systems totaled more than $80,000 in value, according to Adams Arms. The rifles reportedly ship to the Ukraine by Thursday, may 5. The sniper systems add to approximately 1,000 piston-driven, semi-auto AR-15-style rifles sent by Adams Arms to Ukraine. The company plans to send up to 2,500 rifles total.

“It goes beyond altruism or corporate responsibility,” said Adams Arms President Jason East. “As Americans, we cannot allow the kind of aggression Russia has brought forth in Ukraine. What’s the old saying? The only thing evil needs to triumph is for good men to do nothing. Well, we are doing something.”

The heart of the sniper systems build around an Adams Arms piston-driven rifle. Leupold added riflescopes and mounts. Proof Research supplied barrels. Rise Armament shipped trigger units for the builds. Radian Weapons supplied charging handles and safety selectors. Luth AR supplied buttstocks. Finally, Hornady supplied all of the ammunition.

“The Russian invasion of Ukraine is an attack on national sovereignty and individual freedom and liberty that must be stopped. We are proud to partner with our industry partners to provide much needed assistance to the Ukrainian people in their fight against tyranny,” said Hornady Manufacturing VP Jason Hornady.

“We have a strong belief in freedom and self-determination and are honored to contribute further to Ukraine and its determination to defend their ground,” said Bruce Pettet, CEO, Leupold & Stevens.

Firearm Industry War Effort

“We are dedicated to freedom and are proud to be able to contribute to its defense in Ukraine, says Kelly Streiff, VP Sales & Marketing, PROOF Research, a leader in application of composite technologies.

“We strongly believe in the right of individuals to fight for freedom against tyranny”, adds Randy Luth, founder and CEO of Luth-AR and founder of DPMS/Panther Arms, an innovator in rifle accessories.

The Ukraine Sniper Rifles become just the latest example of the firearm industry rising up to fight Russian oppression. Remington and Federal pledged 1 million rounds of ammo recently. So, too, did Ammo, Inc. Meanwhile, several companies kicked in guns, gear and more.
