At this year’s SHOT Show, Air Venturi revealed its latest airgun replica with the Springfield Armory Hellcat Pro. Representing a true replica of the Hellcat Pro, the airgun features a realistic blowback action, mimicking the pistol’s cycling. As a result, Hellcat Pro owners can practice with the platform far more cheaply than running their 9mm ammo. The air pistol is expected to be available mid 2024.

The Air Venturi Springfield Armory Hellcat Pro Airgun

Featuring a polymer frame and metal slide, Air Venturi’s latest replica presents an authentic look and feel. Likewise, the meticulously crafted BB pistol also provides a comparable weight to deliver the same handling experience as the original. Correspondingly, the realistic blowback action delivers an authentic shooting experience and performance during training or target practice.

The slide hosts fixed front and rear sights, contributing to improved accuracy. However, like the original, the Air Venturi model also features an optic cut on the slide, providing red dot compatibility. In addition, mirroring the original, the slide features forward and rear cocking serrations and authentic markings and details.

Powered by a CO2 cartridge, the Hellcat Pro airgun delivers a maximum velocity of 390 FPS. Nestled within the slide is the smooth bore barrel chambered in .177 (4.5mm). Correspondingly, the drop-free metal magazine holds 17 steel BBs and provides a fast and affordable shooting experience. Likewise, the magazine allows for quick and easy reloading.

The Air Venturi Hellcat Pro airgun is available in both black and FDE models. So, if you own a black Hellcat Pro, you can get the airgun version in FDE for fast, easy identification. And vice versa.

Editor’s Note

Chambered in .177 with a max velocity of 390 FPS, this is geared more toward plinking, target practice, and training. The lower projectile speed coupled with the smaller .177 caliber (with no word yet on FPE) would not be ideal for consistent and ethical small game hunting. However, it should be enough to discourage varmints and get them to leave your property.
