Lucid Optics expands its line of optics for modern and traditional combat firearms with its P8 4X Combat Optic. Running on a single AAA battery, the optic boasts a feature-rich reticle with blue illumination. Specifically, the reticle offers reference points and holdovers for reaching out at distance or engaging a moving target.
The Lucid Optics P8 4X Combat Optic
Constructed of 6061 aluminum, the P8 offers shockproof operation, rated for .458 SOCOM. Likewise, the IPX8 waterproof classification provides protection while submerged in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. As a result, the P8 can withstand hard use in inclement environments.
Designed with high-end, phase-corrected, silver-coated prisms, the optic provides clear sight-on-target operation. Likewise, the P8 has a 35-foot field of view at 100 yards. Additionally, the nitrogen-purged optic offers fog-proof clarity, regardless of the conditions.
The reticle on the P8 is a natural evolution from the P7 reticle and applies specifically to the prismatic optic. Featuring a 16 MOA circle with sighting wedges, a 2 MOA precise center dot sits inside the outer circle. Likewise, additional reference points within the circle aid in faster shot placement and account for holdovers and moving targets. The reticle features a crisp blue hue, with the integration of Lucid Optics’ “Blue.”
In addition, the reticle features a windage and elevation adjustment range of 80 MOA each. Correspondingly, the adjustment value of ¼ MOA per click allows you to adjust it in precise increments. Operating on a single AAA battery, the P8 provides a 25,000-hour runtime and has ten brightness levels with two night vision compatible settings.
