Viridian Weapon Technologies and OpticsPlanet have released the latest member of the OPMOD family—the exclusive Omega closed emitter green dot sight. Available through OpticsPlanet, the sight utilizes the Aimpoint ACRO footprint, designed for a pistol but suitable for rifles. In addition, the Omega utilizes a green dot emitter, promising better visibility to the human eye.

Boasting a shock-resistant design, the Omega is constructed of durable aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum with hard coat anodization. Likewise, a waterproof rating of IPX6 provides protection from high-pressure water, such as rain. As a result, the optic is capable of performing in hard-use environments and inclement weather conditions.
The closed emitter design features coated lenses with an anti-reflective coating, delivering a clear and bright sight picture. Correspondingly, the 5 MOA green dot reticle promises high visibility to the human eye in a wide range of lighting conditions. Likewise, ten brightness settings, including eight visible and two night vision compatible, provide fast, accurate target acquisition.
Featuring a user-friendly design, the Omega allows easy windage and elevation adjustments with an overall adjustment range of 90 MOA. Operating on a single CR2023 battery, the Omega has an operating range of up to 50,000 hours. Likewise, the INSTANT-ON function utilizes an automatic shut-off feature to help preserve battery life but activates when needed.
The OPMOD Omega features the Aimpoint ACRO-compatible mount and includes an RMR adapter and High Mount. As a result, the optic can easily be installed on a pistol or rifle platform out of the box.
